Canoe and Kayak Float Trips

RWT borders the beautiful Headwaters of the Wisconsin River. We provide the best of equipment, custom fitting each paddler to the appropriate boat and trip. One boat or trip does not fit everyone's needs. We use great Wenonah canoes including the Aurora, Rogue, Cascade, Spirit II and the versitile Rendvous solo canoe. We also provide quality Old Town canoes including the 17' Tripper, 16' Penobscot, Appalachian, Discovery models 169, 164, and Scout. We use Current Design's impressive deluxe sit in 12 and 14 foot Kestrels and a large assortment of friendly sit-on-top kayaks, which are the best choice for the less experienced paddlers. Sit-on-top kayaks are stable, easy to get in and out of and are a breeze to steer. You will be hard pressed to find better boats, a better river, better prices and with thirty plus years of being in business, better advice and instruction for your trips.
The Headwaters of the Wisconsin River flows south from Lac Vieux Desert 40 miles downstream to Eagle River where it joins the magnificient Eagle River chain of lakes to become the mighty Wisconsin River. It is a small scenic winding stream that flows through mostly county forest land making a wonderful quiet and secenic paddle. It has a good current and no rapids and is well suited to all paddlers including families with children. We describe the river as "not threatening but not boring either". This picturesque river, which supports a merit of wildlife, winds through wild scenic forest and pretty marshland. On a fabulous day of paddling you may see herons, hawks, eagles, ducks, beaver, deer, otters and more. Also, to tantalize the fisherman, the Wisconsin River supports all the speices of fish that are in the lakes that feed the river. If you never have experienced floating down a beautiful stream with gentle breeze, with beautiful dragon flies all around and going around a corrner to see a doe and fawn in the middle of the river you don't know what you are missing!

Come to us for an awesome river adventure
in the most scenic part of the Headwaters of the Wisconsin River and we will take care of the rest!.
